The Quality Analyst has the ability to take business requirement documents and technical design documents and formulate test scenarios and scripts that need to be run against the applications being developed.
Determines problems that exist between the expected and the actual tests results. Identifies, analyses and tracks defects, issues, risks, and action items along with identifying the business requirements & the system requirements as part of the project team.
Assist in development of detailed unit, user acceptance, and regression test plans and test cases based on review of technical specifications and user requirements.
Evaluate program modifications as pertaining to a QA test plan.
Determine accurate timetables for development and execution of test plans including identification of critical test paths.
Fully execute test plans either manually or through automation methods.
Skilled in analysis, research and documentation of test requirements for resolution of system bug fixes, enhancements and requests in all application areas efficiently and quickly.
Create and maintain required QA documentation including test plans, test scripts, test notes, test results, required QA status and project reports.
Represent QA on projects to include organization of QA projects, determination of QA function, scope oversight, resources, and tasks.
Report and communicate all work and project status to Management.
Assist with peer review function and knowledge mentoring for other Quality Assurance Analysts in conjunction with QA mentor plan. Answer questions, review test approaches, results, and conclusions.
Assist in the installation or de-installation of peripheral equipment required for testing.
Assist other QA team members as needed to meet business and QA goals proactively.

Develop master test plans, test cases, test schedules & test scripts using the Master Test Plan Template and defined processes. Submit to Business Analyst for review.
Identify and track defects, issues, risks, and action items.
Perform regression testing to ensure that the newly modified code still complies with its specified requirements and that unmodified code has not been affected. Present to Business Analyst for review.
Communicate status, issues, & solutions to Business Analyst and manager.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
Working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies.
Familiarity of the test tools and IT environments.
Ensure highest quality through use of QA processes & procedures.
Ability to communicate issues and recommended solutions in a timely manner
