Description:

This position is in support of a cash management system developed and operated with the U.S. Treasury. It involves a significant level of interaction with clients within the U.S. Government and financial institutions that provide services to the U.S. Treasury.

This person will work independently, assuming increasing levels of responsibility, and interfaces with all levels of technology and business management. They will have the understanding of information technology with an ability to apply the IT knowledge at a strategic and systems level and understand the business being supported.

Responsibilities:

• Determine scope and estimate level of effort for approved change management service requests.
• Manage the Application Development Level 3 support initiatives, the release of emergency builds, maintenance builds, and enhancement builds.
• Standardize coding, unit testing, and process documents.
• Receive problem escalation from Operations Analysis and provide Level 3 technical operations support of Call Center issues.
• Assign and manage ownership of these issues within the Applications Development team.
• Communicate updates to Operations Analysis Level 2 support with Standardization and maintain coding, unit testing, and process documents.
• Review, scope, and estimate level of effort of approved change management service requests.
• Forward completed and unit tested tasks to Quality Management for testing.
• Schedule and manage emergency, maintenance, and enhancement release builds.


Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science, Information Management, Management Information Systems or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 8+ years of progressive responsibility in a technology-oriented organization.
• Previous team leadership responsibilities within a management information systems or information management / analysis environment,
• 5+ years leading the analysis, planning and delivery of integrated systems.
• Strong communication and instruction skills.
• Highly organized with excellent analytical, communication and project leadership skills.
• Effective problem solving, presentation and coaching skills.
• Must be able to plan and effectively manage most aspects of large, complex projects.

Preferred:

• Experience within a financial environment.
• Department of Treasury application experience is a plus.
• Advanced degree (MSIS, MBA) and/or industry certification (e.g., PMI) desirable.

May have extended hours when working to achieve project deadlines or to assist in resolution of production system problems. Some travel may be required
