This position is with one of the largest organizations in Orlando. It is a permanent position and offers great benefits.

Provides technical analysis, solution design, development and some quality assurance services for application development and support. At a Senior level, may also serve in a project management role and provide professional and skills development and assessment for other technical members of the staff.


BASIC JOB DUTIES:
1. Interface with functional users to define and document functional requirements for application software using structured user interviewing techniques.
2. Define and document system scope, current logical view, general requirements and purposed logical view using structured design and analysis techniques.
3. Evaluate and recommend design and development technology alternatives.
4. Translate business requirement into technical specifications and develop short and long-term solutions and recommendations.
5. Evaluate existing and new system functionality and determine any requirements not met by the specific system.
6. Develop, research and evaluate feasibility of alternatives to meet project objectives and recommend optimal alternatives.
7. Design and optimize test plans for unit, integration and user acceptance tests.


REQUIREMENTS:
1. B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
2. Seven years of programming experience on multiple platforms.
3. 3-5 years of Oracle SQL*Plus and PL/SQL programming experience.
4. Knowledge of Oracle 8.1.7 and 9i databases.
5. Experienced in SQL query optimization.
6. Cobol development experience REQUIRED
7. Experience in structured design, analysis and development techniques and structure test methodologies.
8. Development languages and tools such as Java, J2EE, Servlet, EJB,JDBC, JavaScript, JSP, HTML and XML.
9. Must possess good communication skills.
10. Ability to manage time effectively and meet given deadlines.
11. The following specialized skills are desired: Unix, Crystal Reports, People Tools (REQUIRED); SQR, Unix shell script programming experience, Peoplesoft Revenue Manger or CC& B expertise.
