We are searching for a top notch Cognos developer to help roll out and support the technical architecture needed for a given project, in the context of a team environment. Maintain a close working relationship with the business project leaders, and senior technical infrastructure staff. Develop top-notch understanding of selected tool infrastructures and underlying technologies. Determine strengths and weaknesses and be able to document and communicate this information proactively to team members and management. Develop top-notch understanding of the firm's technical architecture. Participate in tool evaluations. Participate in implementation of required hardware and software. Help to ensure environment is optimized.

REQUIREMENTS
- At least 3 years demonstrated experience installing and upgrading Cognos tools required.
- Prior experience installing and maintaining Cognos application servers.
- Strong database skills required (SQL, Query optimization, etc.)
- Proven ability to implement and roll out packaged software and tools.
- Strong testing skills - Including sampling, regression, test planning, etc., required.
- Exposure to web infrastructure technologies (Portals, firewalls, DMZ's, networking, etc.), a
plus.
- Exposure to installing packaged software on server.
- Ability to use Cognos in a financial reporting environment.
- Ability to develop/document business reporting requirements.
- Accounting skills familiarity with P&L, GL, Financial Analysis, etc.
- At least 1 year demonstrated experience installing and upgrading Cognos tools required.
- Prior experience installing and maintaining Cognos application servers required.
- Demonstrated communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Team oriented philosophy is a must. Team player and approach to work.
- Strong problem solving skills and a willingness to take initiative.
- Willingness to learn and a customer focus.
- Excellent written communication skills and detail oriented.
- Project management skills a plus.
- Ability to interact positively with associates across all levels of the firm.
- Superior user support skills. (24x7 rotating support).
- Ability to train other individuals.
